The school has fallen short of the requirements to be accredited by a national nurse’s group. For the first time in 24 years, Virginia Western Community College’s nursing program lacks accreditation from a national nursing education group, the school said. Graduates of the associate-degree program can still find work because Virginia Western still has the required state-level certification.
