CMA is a certified medical assistant and a CNA is a certified nursing assisntat. CMA takes a lot longer to train, up to 2 years. CNA training is usually 2 months. CMA's are able to do a lot more than a CNA on the job such as draw blood and give injections. A CNA isn't trained for that. CNA is also known as an LNA a license nurse assistant.
