Everything varies state to state but ,
CNA is a pretty low level job and you would probably
Not have access to the meds .
If your conviction is drug related it may be an issue ,
Otherwise probably not an issue .
Good Luck

I went through CNA recently and they do a background check. Usually if you can get a waiver saying you are good to go… they let you in.

Rules vary by state but since your charge is a crime against person it is possible that you would be denied employment. The reason being the risk to the patients or residents in your care. As a CNA you would not have access to medication unless you became medication certified and your care would be basic nursing care. However you would have a lot of direct patient contact, more than nurses, and it is therefore arguable that you pose a risk.
My recommendation would be to seek legal advice and see if you can have the charge removed by going to court. There is no guarantee that you would be able to do it but if this is your only charge then it might be possible.
