Aww man!! Why do you wanna be one?? My mom regrets being one. She makes roughly 23,000/year. She is in debt, it's hard for us. If your gonna have kids and have 1000 mortgage a month and drive a new car dont be one. my mom regrets it. unless you dont care about the money your making

I just finished up school for Medical Assisting and it depends on where you live and where you work. In PA they usually start at $12 to $14 an hr. The most I ever heard of someone getting is $18 an hr. It is hard to find a job in this field because so many ppl go to school for it. But there are also other jobs you can get out of being a MA. You can also be an EKG tech and a Phlebotomists. So dont limit yourself once you graduate if you have to, go where you can gain experience until you find what you really want.

This would be varied based on your area of the country, the supply and demand of CMAs and the number of training programs available.
The US National Average Salary for a Medical Assistant is:$26,417.00 per yr or $508 per week.
