Can anyone tell me the benefits of being a nursing assistant?

Yes, you wasted your $850.00. I can't believe they charged that much for a program.
Nursing Assistants are NOT nurses nor can they legally call themselves a nurse, and in some states you can be legally prosecuted for doing so.
Nursing Assistant jobs are probably the lowest paid in the hospital and pretty much do the bathing/bedpan routine.
