I was a CNA from 1985-1999, it sucked. I started at $4.10 an hour and ended at $11.00 an hour. I am now a Certified Clinical Medical istant, starting pay here in the Northeast, $12.00, but I am only part time. Some MA’s can perform phlebotomist’s duites, but they also do a lot more.

I have been a CNA for several years and enjoy it. I weNt to nursing school but had to quit due to my fathers illness. Came down to Texas to keep my promise to him. Got the required Cert for CNA. Now, I am mostly self employeed and still meeting the re-cert requirements. I love it and I love my “friends”.

i am a nursing istant and i enjoy my job although i am going back to school to study embalming.i’ve been doing this for five years and i really enjoy working with the eldery and have learned a lot from them. they are very comical and have interesting stories to tell if you take the time out to listen to them. i have much respect for them because they have seen everything. what we read in history books, they lived through.the down side is that some of them you get attached to and then they die

When visiting my mom I cannot help but notice all the other patience. What a simple “hello, how are you today” adds to their day. Caring eyes and hearts seem rather rare there. Bless you all for caring.
